Charles Lewton-Brain born in England, lived and studied in Tanzania as well as the US, schooled and worked on a ship with his father as a teenager. In 1974 he attended the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design where he studied jewellery making. He then moved to Pforzheim, Germany where he formally trained as a Goldsmith. Since the 1980's he has travelled around the world sharing his talent and expertise of his award winning creation, Fold-forming. Outside of the Industrial Revolution this method represents the first major innovation to metalworking in thousands of years.
Charles currently resides in Calgary, Canada. He has graciously agreed to teach a Master Workshop Bootcamp weekend this November in Toronto, just steps away from downtown and Ryerson University.
Date, cost and workshop details to be announced shortly.
