Traveling Africa in Tucson

The Bead/Gem shows have opened in Tucson. Yesterday we went to the Africian village - twice.  This bowl was made by a Zulu using tradional a basket weave, but with telephone wire.
I was taken with the bright colours and the way the women had brought the modern world to an anciet skill.

    Lookin' good, Beth. Didn't know that was telepone wire, so that adds an interesting twist on the product. And I like the copy that you wrote to support the pic., and the title of the entry. Stunning photo - color, pattern and composition.
